The Survivor's Art Project
In conjunction with April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month, The Survivor’s Art Project will provide a safe space for all artists who identify as survivors of childhood sexual abuse to create and show artwork that brings awareness and transformative healing and recovery. The exhibition is entitled: Survivor’s Art Project: Overcoming the Silence and Shame of Childhood Sexual Abuse. There will be trained peers and counselors on-site who can assist with answering questions or providing encouragement. Artists who will show their work include Beth Bloom, Kim Brumber, Leni Rayburn, and others.
This art exhibit will be shown at the Art Center of Rochester, 563 Titus Avenue, Rochester, NY 14617 with the show opening as part of First Fridays - April 3, from 6-9pm. During the month of April, gallery visits are by appointment only. https://www.survivorsartproject.org/
