Get your costumes ready, because Art Center is hosting a Kids Night Out Halloween Party on Friday, October 17, 2025. Children between the ages of 5-12 years old can come enjoy Halloween themed art activities, crafts, games, treats, and pizza from Two Ton Tony’s!

Do you have a dog, cat or other loveable critter that you would love to have a painting of?

We can help make this happen in our ‘Paint Your Pet’ workshop at Art Center! No prior art experience is necessary.

***All you have to do is register for the event, email a picture of your critter to email@artcenterrochester.com, and show up!***

Each participant will be given a 16x20” canvas, with their pet pre-drawn on it, and be guided in the painting process!

All participants must preregister.

We will be bringing the joy of needle felting to Art Center! Participants will learn basic needle felting techniques, and create a Halloween themed needle-felted ornament. Each participant will leave this workshop with the personal tools and supplies necessary to continue their new obsession!!!

Come build a functional bat house using eastern white pine, and learn why bats are important to our ecosystem.

This is a great family activity! You can come alone or with a group of 2-3. Each person or group will assemble a bat house and paint it to their liking. Please note: the cost of the workshop is based on the number of houses you plan to build. Groups only need to pay for one house.

All materials are provided, and space is limited. Please indicate the number of participants on your form.

Discover the fun art of linocutting through a captivating introduction to one color printmaking techniques and our favorite Japanese characters. Learn how to create your own A4 print, exploring each step from engraving a linoleum plate to printing on paper. We will use inspirational references and make sketches to develop your unique illustration.

You are invited to Art Center for an evening of art and music.
Artwork by Leaphe Ferm will be on display, accompanied with ambient music by James M Keegan at 6:30pm, followed by a live performance of the artist's band Garden of Evil Doers at 7:30pm.

The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

It’s time to get out and paint! Try something new! No experience is necessary. All are invited to join Kaitlin for an evening of painting, with complimentary wine and light refreshments. Participants will be guided through expressive painting techniques, and leave with a beautiful landscape painting.
