Learn to create a painting without paint! Wool painting is a needle felting method that layers various colors of wool to create a flattened image to hang on a wall!
Participants will understand the process of wool painting from color blocking to adding fine details. Each participant will leave this workshop with the personal tools and supplies in addition to their work of art necessary to continue their new obsession!!!
All participants must pre-register.

Winter Landscape Painting Workshop
No experience is necessary. All are invited to join Kaitlin for an evening of painting, with complimentary wine and light refreshments.
Participants will be guided through expressive acrylic painting techniques, and leave with a beautiful winter landscape painting on canvas.

Children's Holiday Art Market
Art Center is excited to provide our youngest artists and entrepreneurs an opportunity to be a vendor and sell their original creations to the public. Each child has a station to display his/her artwork and keeps 100% of their profits! The cost to participate is $20, and open to children up to the age of 19. The event will take place from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on December 13, 2025. Every vendor will receive an Art Center t-shirt!

Hand-Bound Sketchbook Adventure for Tweens
In this fun, hands-on workshop, tweens will design and build their very own one-of-a-kind sketchbook—totally from scratch. Participants will choose awesome cover materials, mix and match colors, and learn simple bookbinding tricks to fold, punch, and stitch their pages together. It’s a crafty mash-up of art, DIY, and creativity where everyone walks away with a personalized sketchbook perfect for doodles, stories, and big ideas. Designed for makers ages 9–13, this workshop is all about experimenting, expressing yourself, and having a blast while making something you can use and show off!

Paint Your Pet Workshop!
Do you have a dog, cat or other loveable critter that you would love to have a painting of?
We can help make this happen in our ‘Paint Your Pet’ workshop at Art Center! No prior art experience is necessary.
***All you have to do is register for the event, email a picture of your critter to email@artcenterrochester.com, and show up!***
Each participant will be given a 16x20” canvas, with their pet pre-drawn on it, and be guided in the painting process!
All participants must preregister.

Discover the fun art of linocutting through a captivating introduction to one color printmaking techniques and our favorite Japanese characters. Learn how to create your own A4 print, exploring each step from engraving a linoleum plate to printing on paper.
